Brooklyn native John Brosnan founded MPG in 1979, specializing in commercial breakage. Establishing a reputation for reliability during emergencies, MPG’s clientele spread to Manhattan and the rest of the five boroughs.
After two years in business, Mr. Brosnan was seriously injured on the job while successfully rescuing a man trapped in a burning vehicle. He was electrocuted when an eight thousand-volt power line fell on the car. Consequently, he was awarded the Carnegie Medal for heroism.
From his hospital bed, Mr. Brosnan continued to run MPG until his release. For the next twenty years he developed the business into a full service glass contracting company. With years of experience and moral business ethics, he extended its reach to include Northern New Jersey. In 2000 he made employee Matthew Cochran a partner after Mr. Cochran broadened the company’s services to include custom interior glass, curtain walls, and glass insurance administration.
